The Beach
Hello Year 4,
Year 3 have just finished learning about narratives. Ryan a student in our class would like to share a narrative that he wrote all by himself. The title of his story is ‘The Beach’. We thought you might like to read it and you can make a comment about it for Ryan and our class to read. We hope you enjoy it!

Mr Abad, Ryan in our class has written a great story about the beach. If you want to read it you press the button view. He has learnt so much he is a great student. You and your class are learning about Australia. We have learnt that Australia has 8 states and territorys. We have also learnt about the significant sites and if they are built or natural. On the right there are some videos of some significant sites. Click the arrow beneath to go to the next page. They are really good.

Dear Ryan and Year 3,
As a class, we read your story on ‘The Beach’ during our English lesson. Thank you for sending us your amazing narrative. We absolutely loved your story and would like to read another one of your stories.
While Mr Abad was reading the story to us, we wrote some points about what we liked about your story. We thought you had the correct narrative structure including a funny resolution. You also included interesting and clear time seqeunce words and powerful verbs. You also wrote some cool adjectives, an excellent simile and some fantastic describing words.
We really loved your complication and hoped Anabelle did not get eaten by the hammerhead shark. We were very glad the lifeguards saved her.
Again, thank you for sharing this narrative with us. In Year 4, we have also been learning about narratives, with issues/dilemmas, writing in chapters. We hope to share some of our brilliant work with you soon.
Regards,
Purple Class (Year 4)
P.S Mr Abad will give us this website, so we can access this at home.

Thanks Alice for the nice things you said about my story I really enjoyed the words you said. I have a favourite site in Australia it is Centrepoint tower and the Harbour Bridge. My favourite thing about Centrepoint tower is that you can see the whole of Sydney. My favourite thing about the Harbour Bridge is that you can climb it all the way to the top and no other bridge looks like it in Australia.

Hi Ethan nice to meet you. My name is Caitlyn and I’m in Year Three. We have just finished learning about significant sites. Well I can give you a little info on some significent sites in Australia and the average temperature here:
We have millions of significant sites like Uluru, Wave Rock, The Ulgus, The Three Sisters, Devil’s Marbles and there’s heaps more. I think that the average temperature is about 10-23 degrees.

Hello Guys,
Thanks for the great comments so far. My favourite part of the story was when Anabelle was saved. There are lots of good sites like Sydney Opera House where people sing and Wave Rock whick is shaped like a Wave.
Talk to You Soon!
